Berry baked oats

These berry baked oats will be your new favourite winter breakfast. If you're yet to try baked oats, this is your sign to make them!

Equipment

  • 1 blender

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 heaped tbsp protein powder optional - see notes
  • 1/2 a banana or substitute for 1/4 cup applesauce
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or sweetener of choice
  • 1/3 cup almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1/3 cup mixed berries fresh or frozen

optional

  • peanut butter to add on top once cooked

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 180°c (fan forced) and grease a mini baking dish - I use a mini pie dish 
  • To a blender add oats, baking powder, protein powder, vanilla extract, maple syrup, almond milk, egg, banana and blend until smooth. 
  • Add mixture to the baking dish, add the berries and gently mix through. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until cooked.
  • Add on some peanut butter (optional) and enjoy!

Notes

If you aren't using protein powder you can add in more oats or add less milk!
