Homemade Hash Browns

Next time you're cooking up a delicious breakfast or brunch, be sure to make some the these incredibly tasty and crispy hash browns too!
Course: Breakfast
Servings: 4 hash browns

Ingredients

  • 360g potatoes about 4 small potatoes
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil plus extra to drizzle in the fry pan
  • salt/pepper
  • herbs/spices of choice I used a mixed spice blend with paprika and oregano

Instructions

  • Grate potatoes then rinse and use a tea towel to squeeze out all excess water.
  • Add grated potato to a bowl with egg, garlic, flour, oil, salt, pepper, herbs, spices and mix until combined.
  • Drizzle some olive oil in a pan and heat to medium-high heat. Once the pan is hot, use the mixture to create 4 hash browns. Cook for 4-5 minutes per side or until golden.
  • Once cooked, serve hot and enjoy!
