What is Vegemite?
I’m sure most of you would’ve heard of vegemite at some point but if you haven’t, Vegemite is an Australian savoury spread that’s made from yeast extract. It has a strong, salty, and slightly bitter flavour and is definitely one of those foods that you either love or hate!
Ingredients needed:
For this recipe you will only need the following 3 ingredients:
- puff pastry
- vegemite
- cheese
How to make Vegemite scrolls
- Preheat oven to 180°c and line a baking tray. Let the pastry sit for 10 minutes to partially thaw.
- Spread on the Vegemite and add the cheese. Cut into 5 strips and roll into scrolls.
- Place each scroll into a greased muffin tin and bake at 180°c for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Enjoy!
