This crunchy caramelised croissant recipe is the perfect use for any stale croissants you might have sitting in your cupboard!
Ingredients needed:
To make the croissants, you only need 4 simple ingredients!
- Croissants – The croissant doesn’t need to be fresh. If it’s bit stale that’s ok, this recipe will be perfect for it!
- Butter – The is used to the pan to cook the croissant, you could substitute with a neutral flavoured oil
- Maple syrup – you could also use honey if you’d prefer
- Brown sugar
How to make crunchy caramelised croissants:
The recipe truly is SO EASY! There’s nothing better than a scrumptious recipe that comes together in no time at all.
- Using a rolling pin, roll out the croissant until it is as flat as possible.
- Heat a pan to medium and add the butter. Once the butter has melted, add in the croissant. Drizzle the maple syrup and brown sugar on top and let cook for about 3 minutes per side or until golden.
- Add to a plate and allow it cool for 5 minutes to harden. Top with greek yoghurt, berries, coconut and maple syrup (or toppings of choice)
- Enjoy!
