The soft and gooey Brie paired with bacon, honey and crusty sourdough bread is the perfect combination! This recipe is so easy to make and requires minimal effort making it the perfect appetiser for your Christmas celebrations.
Ingredients needed:
- sourdough cob loaf, or regular cob loaf
- brie
- diced bacon
- honey
- thyme
- olive oil
How to make Baked Brie Bread Bowl
- Preheat oven to 180°c and line a baking tray.
- Cut the top off the cob loaf and hollow out the centre to the size of the brie.
- Cut the sides of the bread to create pull apart pieces leaving the bottom intact.
- Pan fry the bacon until crispy. Cut the top off the brie and add into the bread along with the honey, bacon and thyme.
- Add the bread to the baking tray along with the top of the sourdough and pieces removed from the centre. Drizzle over some olive oil and add salt and pepper.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the bread is golden. Serve warm from the oven. Dip pieces of the bread into the brie and enjoy!
