This brownie mug cake is the ultimate quick and easy dessert. Made with just a few simple ingredients and only taking 90 seconds to cook, this will be your new favourite single serve dessert!
Don’t get me wrong I love to cook but sometimes I can’t be bothered baking a dessert or I simply just don’t have time. That’s why single serve desserts like mug cakes are the best! They require simple ingredients, minimal cleaning up and obviously taste delicious!
Ingredients needed:
- All purpose flour
- Cacao powder
- Baking powder
- Melted butter (you can use vegan butter if needed)
- Maple syrup
- Almond milk
- Chocolate chips
How to make brownie mug cake:
- In a microwave safe mug add the flour, cacao powder, baking powder and mix.
- Add in the melted butter, maple syrup, almond milk and mix until combined.
- Fold in dark chocolate chips.
- Microwave for 90 seconds or until cooked – cooking time may vary slightly depending you your microwave.
- Serve with ice cream and enjoy!
Ingredient substitutions:
- Instead of MELTED BUTTER: You can use melted coconut oil
- Instead of MAPLE SYRUP: You can use any liquid sweetener of your choice
- Instead of ALMOND MILK: You can use any milk of your choice
