Any breakfast involving chocolate is a winner in my eyes! This Chocolate Chia Pudding is the ultimate easy breakfast and perfect to prepare ahead of time.
The best thing about chia puddings is the flavours are endless. I’ve tried heaps of different flavour combos but this chocolatey chia pudding will always be one of my favourites!
This chocolate chia pudding recipe only requires 5 ingredients and it’s so simple to make!
Ingredients needed:
- chia seeds
- cacao powder
- maple syrup
- almond milk
- greek yoghurt
How to make chocolate chia pudding
Combine all ingredients for the chia pudding in a jar and leave in the fridge overnight.
Combine the yoghurt, cacao powder and sweetener and add on top of the chia pudding the next morning.
I also love adding on fruit like banana or strawberries!
Ingredient substitutions:
- To make it DAIRY FREE/VEGAN: Use a DF/V yoghurt
- Instead of ALMOND MILK: You can use any milk of your choice
- Instead of MAPLE SYRUP: You can use any liquid sweetener of your choice

Ingredients
Chia pudding
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 2 tsp cacao powder
- 1 tbsp maple syrup or liquid sweetener of choice
- 3/4 cup almond milk or milk of choice
Topping
- 2 tbsp (heaped) greek yoghurt
- 2 tsp cacao powder
- 1-2 tbsp maple syrup or sweetener of choice – can be granulated or liquid
Instructions
