There’s no better way to start the day then with a delicious stack of pancakes! These protein pancakes are a wholesome and tasty breakfast idea that come together in one bowl and are guaranteed to leave you feeling good and ready to take on the day!
These protein pancakes are relatively easy to make, requiring simple ingredients you probably already have at home and minimal cooking time, the perfect healthy and delicious breakfast if you ask me!
If you’re someone who is short on time but still want to enjoy some pancakes for breakfast, you can make a batch of these and freeze them for when you need!
Ingredients needed:
- self raising flour
- protein powder I used the True Protein vanilla plant protein
- baking powder
- cinnamon
- egg
- maple syrup or liquid sweetener of choice
- almond milk or milk of choice
Toppings:
- banana
- passionfruit
- maple syrup
How to make protein pancakes:
- In a bowl combine the self raising flour, protein powder, baking powder and cinnamon. Add in the egg, maple syrup, almond milk and mix until combined.
- Heat a nonstick pan to medium and add the mixture to the pan – it makes 3 medium sized pancakes.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes per side or until golden. You’ll know they are ready to flip when bubbles start to appear on the surface.
- Once cooked stack the pancakes, add toppings and enjoy!
